- The server says the user already exists, but it doesn't, what do I do?
- How do I setup my email software?
- My site control panel says I can only have 20 users, what happened to unlimited?
- My email software will not send mail, it asks if I POP'ed before SMTP, what does this mean?

  • Do you have online instructions for setting up Microsoft Outlook Express?
Instructions for configuring Outlook may be found here
Outlook Express may be configured thrugh your Cpanel control panel that is installed on your hosting account.

  • The server says the user already exists, but it doesn't, what do I do?
When you first signed up with your local ISP, you had to select a unique user name. When you choose your domain name, it had to be unique. A unique name applies on our servers also.
Every webmaster wants to have the address of webmaster@mydomain.com and every business wants to have the address of sales@mydomain.com. Popular names are probably already taken by another domain.
There are two alternatives to resolving this problem:
    1) Use an email alias. Aliases are domain specific.
    2) Use a variant of the name. For example, if the name of your company is Acme Widgets, then an acceptable variant could be acmesales@ or awsales@.

  • How do I setup my email software?
Since there are many software applications available for accessing your email, we cannot give specific instructions for all packages. For specific directions refer to your email software manual or help files. In all email applications the POP3 and SMTP servers must be set as follows:
    POP3 server: mail.yourdomain.com
    SMTP server: mail.yourdomain.com

Note: Some ISP's require you to send mail from their servers. If you are using a free access provider your ability to send mail out of your domain will almost definitely be blocked. If your ISP blocks port 25 you will not be able to send mail except through your ISP's mail account. If this is the case the SMTP server must be set to yourISP.com.

  • My site control panel says I can only have 20 users, what happened to unlimited?
Each server is limited to the actual number of users it can handle. We use this number to track the number of actual users on each server. Each site can setup as many users as they like. If you need more, email support@mattcas.com and they will raise the number.

  • My email software will not send mail, it asks if I POP'ed before SMTP, what does this mean?
Due to anti-spam provisions built into our servers you are required to access your POP account (check for new mail) before you will be allowed to use the SMTP server (send mail). The easiest solution is to check for new messages again, thereby using your password to log into your POP account again.
