Network / Datacenter Information

Currently, all of our servers are housed in state-of-the-art datacentres (NOC's). By diversifing our servers into several locations, we are able to insure quality connection speeds for your data, as well as, quality uptimes.

Each of the MattCas Communications LLC Network Operation Centers (NOC) features high level security, raised flooring, climate-control, UPS power supply, fire suppression system as well as multiple redundant connections to major backbones. Each NOC is also equipped with backup batteries and diesel generators, Cisco routers and switches; and is staffed 24x7 by qualified system administrators and engineers. All servers are secured in a state of the art Smart POP; monitored by both on hand technicians, IP cameras and door security via Hand geometry reader; OC3C connections are physically diverse and Sonet protected; dual power feeds backed up with UPS, Rectifiers, Batteries and Generator to ensure our customers have near zero down time.

24x7x365 Monitoring

Additionally, all Network Operation Centers use industry-standard SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) and provides round-the-clock monitoring of all hardware, including routers, switches, UPS systems, and servers. The Network Operation Centers also monitors power, environmental factors (such as temperature and humidity), generator status, and network connectivity. All critical services/ports are monitored, including FTP, HTTP, SMTP, HTTPS, SSH and POP3.

Linux Servers:

  • DC-001 - Texas (Our main servers and our reseller hosting servers are in this datacenter.)
Redundant DS3 and OC3 (155mbps) connections through Sprint, AT&T, Cable&Wireless, MCI/UUNet and Global Crossing. We are peering (sharing capacity) with major backbones, to exchange connectivity. For redundancy, we are currently running BGP4 (border gateway routing protocol) to maintain the speed and uptime. If one backbone line goes down, it will balance the load to the other(s). If one line gets congested, it will load balance the traffic.
  • DC-002 - Los Angeles (Our shared servers are in this datacenter.)
One of the largest carrier hotels in the world, carrying every major bandwidth player in the facility, insures world class connections. In place is a backup transit from multiple providers in multiple locations to ensure that data will arrive via the shortest possible route. We get our IP transit from 2 cisco 12008 GSR's which are connected via multiple gigabit fiber uplinks to our distribution switches (2 cisco 2948G-L3's).
  • DC-003 - New York (Our shared servers are in this datacenter.)
Another one of the largest carrier hotels in the world, carrying every major bandwidth player in the facility, and protected by our redundant infrastructure and security staff. Our most active and connected facility, the Broadway Center offers customers a long list of carriers that can meet their connectivity needs. In addition, the Broadway Center is home to one of the largest and most active peering exchanges on the East coast, the NYIIX (New York International Internet eXchange).

Windows Servers:

  • DC-001 - Miami Florida
Multiple DS3 45mbps connections including NTT/VERIO, Aleron, Internap, with Cogent as a backup network.
